WHEATLEY Village History

History Group

Postcard, High Street looking East with Railway Tavern

Formed in 2019, this group is part of Wheatley Village Archive, a registered Charitable Trust.

The group has a programme of talks on historical matters, pertaining to Wheatley, Oxfordshire, and the country at large. These take place in the Merry Bells on a Tuesday evening. It also arranges visits to historical sites in Oxford or locally on a self-drive basis.

Membership is open to all, whether you live in Wheatley or not. The annual subscription is £3, and talks are also charged at £3 (£5 for non-members) in order to cover costs of qualified speakers.
